Each and every time we saw report on telly or newspapers
about someone, we certainly know that person must be somebody in order for the media to carry their stories. Of course crime
news is reported everyday on TV and papers and that involved someone too but let
us stream to a success story.
I’ll say ‘Don’t simply judge a food by its presentation’... Some foods look nice but ain’t taste that nice. In this kind of scenario, the presentation of the food is the disguise to allure your taste buds. However, going all around and stepping back to the point that first impression does really matters!! Don't ignore the fact at times, there are precious gems underneath unpolished rock so don't cast it before you get to know it. That’s how I see this person when I first met him. (Sorry for sharing about you here. I thought your story is inspiring.)
At first glance, he might look just like a guy you will see somewhere but it doesn’t take long for us to change this perception. Once he start talking, it proves he’s not that ordinary. Speaks with full confident plus good in handling constant eyes contact. Sounds easy to you? Trust me; it takes a great confident to be able to do this. I’ve seen and met lot of people through my work and leisure, I notice many can’t handle the issues of speak with confident and managing good eye contact.
Always clean shaven with clear eyes and soft spoken. That’s how you can easily describe him as pleasant looking. Charming from the first meeting, there he is so let us know a little more about this person who strive it out himself for whatever he has today. What I really see in him is his determination, discipline, life principle, trustworthy, down to earth personality and super level of hardworking that complies to make him who he is today.
Possessing a great leadership value and not to forget that he’s kind of a smart guy, a gifted one. I’m not so sure about this fact but he might play chess. Chess player are well known for their strategic planning, he’s obviously good at it. (Do you know that Jamaican athletes are encouraged to play chess for their development? This helps them to arrange their strategy while competing.)
When someone is successful, that is the peak time we know about them. We see them, hear their stories and those stories often comes along with RUMOURS too! Then we might be inspired, admiring them but some free talkers will start to judge and only interested in rumours. Rumours can be entertaining if you take it lightly. That's what going on with tabloid magazines as they focus on rumours for hike in sales but rumours always prone to the bad side and can be harmful. Think again, how far you know the truth behind those rumours. I always take rumours as a waste of time. Don't you feel the same?
Those who are in the rumours topic will certainly know the real truth and know exactly how to just shut their ears. They have tough skin ok. That’s why they’re up there somewhere above the line of ordinary. We may not know what they have been through before they reach their position today. Most of them faced failures not once or twice but several times in the making. However, they don’t give up, instead they learn from it and develop. Humiliations, challenges and obstacles will always come our way, which will directly serve to make our skin thicker to face new turbulence in life.
Maybe he used to be just the other boy when he grew up but today he is standing tall as Dato’ Seri Charles Voon. Below is the link of his stories which was published in Borneo Post on June 20th, 2012 titled “From Swimming Coach to CEO”. Proud and happy, he made it on his own. He carved his own success and never forget where he came from. Thanks for sharing some of your wisdoms with me.
